Dragon’s Dogma 2 Civil Unrest walkthrough

The quest can be started once you’ve spoken to Empress Nadinia, who asks you to help Menella while she decides what to do. Head to the intersection near the oxcart stop and Menella will tell you that the people are squabbling too much to consider evacuating everyone and that she needs your help to calm them down.

Agree to help, and three quest markers will appear on your map, each showing a dispute that you need to sort out. These can be done in any order you want, but we’re going to go from south to north.

Observing the duel

In the south of the city, in front of the Vocation Guild, two citizens are preparing for a duel and ask you to oversee it. The best option here is to observe the duel. They will fight for a little bit before they eventually both acknowledge the other fighter, choosing to end the duel without anyone getting hurt.

The arguing men

In the middle of the city, right by one of the inns, two men are arguing with each other about food while their children watch on. To solve the argument, give a piece of food to one of the kids. Do not give them rotten food as this will enrage their fathers and cause them to attack you.

If you don’t have any non-rotten food with you, you can steal some Harspuds from the room behind the counter in the nearby inn. Once their children are fed, the two men will stop arguing and you can move on to the final location.

Getting beaten up

Probably the easiest of the lot, in the north of town are another two men having an argument. Try to intervene, and they’ll get angry and turn on you instead. All you need to do is stand there and let them hit you for a while and they eventually get tired and stop. You may need to use a couple of items to heal up in the middle if you’re a bit low on health.

Return to Menella

With all those disputes sorted out, it’s time to report back to Menella. She will thank you for your work, and tell you to let Empress Nadinia know. Head back into the palace and talk to Nadinia who will agree to evacuate the city.

Bug fix

Some players have reported not being able to get back into Empress Nadinia’s quarters. Sadly, there’s no concrete fix for this, and your best bet is waiting for a couple of in-game days and coming back.

With that, the quest is complete and you’ll be rewarded nicely with 10,000G, 20,000 XP, and 30 Wyrmslife Crystals.

That’s everything you need to know about the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Civil Unrest quest. For some more help with the Dragon’s Dogma 2 true ending, check out our guides for the Wandering Roots and When Will Collide quests too.
