Does Dead Island 2 have new game plus?

No, unfortunately, Dead Island 2 does not currently have a new game plus mode. Starting a new playthrough won’t carry over any weapons, skills, or your level, and you’ll start the game in exactly the same way as you did the first time around.

As it stands, there has been no announcement from either publisher Deep Silver or developer Dambuster Studios about Dead Island 2 new game plus arriving later on down line as part of a future update. That’s not to say it won’t come, just we haven’t received any firm confirmation as of writing.

While replaying the game delivers roughly the same experience, especially in terms of the narrative, playing as a different slayer introduces just enough variety to make it worthwhile for those that enjoyed the game during their initial playthrough.
