The shotgun category is often overlooked but the best Marine SP loadout is certainly worth considering before you load into Black Ops 6 multiplayer matches. Treyarch’s sixth entry into the Black Ops series features an extensive weapon arsenal packed with variety allowing you to build a loadout to suit all styles of play. Armed with lethal damage in close-range combat, the Marine SP may not be the most versatile of weapons compared to something like the XM4 or AK-74, but it’s very easy to score plenty of kills by running, gunning, and utilising the innovative Omnimovement system. Here, we take a closer look at the strongest set of attachments to equip onto this underrated weapon.

Pros
  • Powerful pump-action damage
  • Can be fired mid-reload
Cons
  • Wide pellet spread lowers damage at range
  • Slow fire rate

Best Black Ops 6 Marine SP attachments

We’ve tested numerous attachment combinations for the Marine SP in a bid to improve its versatility and after spending hours in the Gunsmith, this set of five is excellent for close-quarters combat and the ability to deal damage at further distances:

Weapon partAttachmentLevel to unlock
MuzzleMuzzle BrakeLevel 2
BarrelLong BarrelLevel 12
UnderbarrelRanger ForegripLevel 32
StockQuickdraw StockLevel 17
Fire ModRapid FireLevel 36

The Muzzle Brake works wonders to reset the recoil pattern quickly and also provides you with additional recoil control when firing the first shot. Considering the Marine SP can eliminate a target with a single shot, keeping recoil to a minimum is key. To enhance the damage range even further, the Long Barrel is up next. Armed with improvements to damage range and ammo capacity, you won’t find yourself running out in the heat of battle. The Ranger Foregrip slots into the Underbarrel slot and while it may reduce accuracy, the movement speed boosts are worth the sacrifice.

The Marine SP is your typical shotgun. Lethal up close but lacking at range.

As with all weapons in the Black Ops 6 arsenal, reaction time makes all the difference. The Quickdraw Grip reduces aim-down sight (ADS) speed allowing you to react to anyone that slides into your crosshairs unexpectedly. Lastly is the Rapid Fire attachment. This Fire Mod reduces rechambering speed which is particularly useful if the first shot doesn’t secure the kill.

Best Black Ops 6 Marine SP perks and equipment

After you’ve attached the attachments for the best Marine SP loadout, picking a set of perks and equipment to suit an aggressive style of play is also integral to topping the scoreboards. Here’s what we recommend using alongside the shotgun:

Perks

  • Perk 1: Ghost
  • Perk 2: Assassin
  • Perk 3: Double Time
  • Perk 4: Gung-Ho
  • Wildcard: Perk Greed

Unlike other loadouts, our Marine SP loadout features four perks thanks to the Perk Greed Wildcard. Ghost keeps your location hidden from airborne UAVs and enemy radar pings while moving around the map while Assassin shows you enemies on kill streaks, making them easier to ambush with your shotty. Next is Double Time which boosts the length of Tac Sprint to ensure maximum mobility on the battlefield. Then, Gung-Ho rounds off the perks which reduces any penalties while reloading or using equipment. You can also reload while Tac Sprinting.

✓ C-C-Combo-breaker!

Assassin, Double Time, and Gung-Ho all slot into the Enforcer category which unlocks its Combat Specialty. The Enforcer Specialty grants you a temporary movement speed buff and faster health regeneration.

Equipment

  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stim Shot
  • Field Upgrade: Neurogas
  • Secondary: Stryder .22

Semtex continues to be a popular piece of lethal equipment. Stick it into an objective zone to damage anyone in close proximity or stick it to an enemy for a few extra kills to your name. Stim Shots are the early meta thanks to their faster health regeneration. Neurogas is an unorthodox pick for a Field Upgrade but if placed well on the map, you can deal huge amounts of damage to any unsuspecting opponents. Use the Stryder .22 when you have to shoot at mid-range and longer to give yourself cover, for example, while crossing over open terrain where your shotty is not as effective.
