Model L is among the most popular ARs in the game, owing to its great mobility compared to others, which encourages playing fast and active. The optics are a swappable attachment in this loadout. If you feel like you’re missing ammo during gun fights, switch it for Extended Mag I. Alternatively, if you prefer iron sights, but want more clear precision, opt for a Fast Motion Laser.
The best part about this weapon loadout is that it’s highly functional while being fairly easy to unlock. You don’t have to grind too many weapon levels to get the attachments you need. Speaking of which, let’s go into them in detail. The Long Barrel extends the weapon’s range, giving the gun a bit more stopping power at the extreme ends of mid-range while making it at least competitive even at long range. The PrismaTech Reflex optic goes along well to help you at longer ranges, but you can opt for a different optic if you have a favourite. Vertical Foregrip reduces horizontal recoil, helping you control the weapon while blasting. To go along with it, Quickdraw Grip speeds up your ADS time, making it easier to switch from running to aiming in an instant. Last but not least, the Light Stock builds upon Model L’s great mobility and improves hip fire accuracy.
Best Black Ops 6 Model L perks and equipment
With the best attachments ready to go, it’s time to select Perks and equipment to complete the loadout. Here’s what we recommend that you use.

Scavenger gives you a chance to pick up extra ammo and equipment from fallen enemies, which comes in handy if you start running low. Assassin highlights enemies on a killing streak with a unique map icon. Killing that enemy rewards you with a Bounty Pack, granting you Scorestreaks points. Double Time doubles the duration of your Tac Sprint and speeds up its refresh rate, which only adds to the gun’s inherent mobility – making it easier to use the slide cancel move. Lastly, thanks to Perk Greed, the Dexterity perk makes you more mobile by reducing weapon motion while moving, sliding, and diving.
The three perks above put together grant you the Enforcer speciality. For each successful takedown, you’ll get extra movement and health regeneration speed. This combo plays right into Model L’s strengths, so it’s well worth it.

Semtex is a great all-around lethal that deals plenty of additional damage alongside your main AR. Throwing out a Concussion will slow enemy movement speed, making it easier to line them up in your sights. The Trophy System is extremely useful once you’ve set up a position to stop incoming grenades. Alternatively, you can go for the Assault Pack, which can resupply your teammates with ammo and equipment. Grekhova is a great pick for your secondary, bringing some reliable close-range burst when you need it.
Best alternatives to Model L
If Model L didn’t feel right, then you can try out some of the other ARs. The starter XM4 is an amazingly well-balanced gun. If you’re after higher stopping power, then check out the AK-74. And if you like the mobility of Model L, but would prefer a higher fire rate, then the Jackal PDW could be right up your alley.
