At the time of writing, there are a total of 21 knives in the game, including the default knife that every player gets equipped with when they’re starting out. Though each one varies in design and price, a handful stand head and shoulders above the others due to their design, in-game feel, and price point. Here’s what we think they are in no particular order:
Butterfly Knife
A classic knife in terms of its design, this sleek weapon is a fan-favorite for multiple reasons. Not only is its inspection animation arguably the best in the game, but it also has some of the best skins available. Alas, getting one may be easier said than done, as prices for the butterfly knife currently range between $750 to $1900.
Karambit
The Karambit is one of the most iconic knife designs in CS2 for a couple of reasons: its curved blade and finger-hole handle. Its lethal and memorable design makes it one of the most aesthetically pleasing blades in the game, and some of its basic skins are also more affordable than the astronomical prices of butterfly knife cosmetics.
Talon Knife
The Talon Knife is largely similar to the Karambit, with the only differences being its ivory handle and saw-tooth ridges. It is worth noting that the Talon Knife has a more memorable inspection animation, as pressing the Reload and Inspect buttons in quick succession will prompt your character to twirl the knife continuously.
Skeleton Knife
Skeleton Knives are some of the most expensive in CS2 for a reason. Not only is it extremely difficult to acquire from cases, but its minimalistic yet lethal-looking design also makes it a favorite among both casual and pro players worldwide.
M9 Bayonet
The M9 Bayonet, though bulkier than the previous knives mentioned, has a memorable and menacing design that makes it unique in its own way. When paired with aesthetically pleasing skins like the Case Hardened or the Doppler cosmetics, this deadly stands out even more.
