Moonrise Tower is located in the southwestern corner of the Act Two map. You can travel here in a few different ways. You will reach Act Two after completing the goblin camp, Myconid Colony, Blighted Village, Druids Grove, and other sections of Act One and cross over to the forest via the Mountain Pass or the Underdark elevator.

The Risky Ring in Baldur’s Gate 3 has the following effect. “You gain Advantage on Attack Rolls and receive Disadvantage on Saving Throws.” The Risky Attack effect enhances your chances of getting critical hits and overcoming an enemy’s Armour Class (AC). Thanks to its effect, the ring is best used on melee attackers.

How to get the Risky Ring in Baldur’s Gate 3

The Risky Ring must be purchased from Araj Oblodra at the bottom of Moonrise Towers. Killing this merchant will result in the loss of the ring. To get the ring, follow these steps:

  1. Reach Act Two through the Mountain Pass or the Underdark
  2. Join the goblins on the trek to Moonrise or walk to Moonrise yourself
  3. Interact with the Absolute Cultists as allies
  4. Enter the tower
  5. Purchase the ring for 608 gold

It is important to note that rogues can also obtain the ring by pickpocketing Araj Oblodra but it is not advised since they can easily be spotted in this area thanks to the number of NPCs and creatures. Drow can typically get into Moonrise Towers more easily since they are perceived as being aligned with Minthara.

The Risky Ring is among the best you can get in Act Two. This also includes items like the Family Ring, Boots of Aid, Ring of Free Action, Crypt Lord Ring, Ring of Protection, and the Shifting Corpus Ring.

What class should use the Risky Ring in Baldur’s Gate 3?

There are multiple classes that can make use of the Risky Ring in Baldur’s Gate 3 such as:

  • Monk – Monks don’t have many skills and rely heavily on hitting enemies using their attacks and bonus action attacks, giving them a higher chance of getting a hit on their next attack, especially with the ring equipped.
  • Barbarian – Barbarians get the extra attack bonus and can also get strong feats like Great Weapon Master that can make the ring very useful.
  • Rogues – Rogues also get multiple attacks during a turn in exchange for using actions and bonus actions, making the ring very useful for them to deal extra damage and get critical hits. This can also mean higher damage against enemies like skeleton bosses.

Combine the ring with other items like boots that can overlook difficult terrain and you will be able to reach enemies as well as hit them hard.
