The treasure map comes sided by a painted image of a set of ruins. A balcony is highlighted with an X, presumably the location of the treasure. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map location in Avowed.

Where to find the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map location

To find the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map location, travel to Tago’s Tower Beacon in the Shark’s Teeth region in the northeast of Shattercarp. With Tago’s Tower on your left, head forward then take a right. On your left, you’ll see a collapsed pillar you can use to reach the balcony above.

Follow the pillar up then press on around the corner to find an abandoned camp. On the left, you’ll find a glowing yellow chest. You’ll need three lockpicks to open it. Inside, you’ll find the Necropants, x1 Moonstone, x2 Admeth’s Wyrt, x2 Stelgaer Leather, x1 Petrified Wood Branch, and one health potion. The Necropants are the important item here and grabbing them will wrap up the Robe of the Arcane Cheater treasure map.

The Necropants are unique medium armor with 15% damage reduction and 47 additional damage reduction as base stats. Alongside, they have the Spectral Slave perk, which summons a spectre to fight with you, and Poison-Proofed, which gives you +30% resistance to poison accumulation. If you pair them with the Revenant Bell Collar, which you can get in the Emerald Stair by agreeing to sell your corpse to Elia when you die, you’ll unlock an achievement called Play Dead.
