Over in the east of the Deadfall Highlands in Shatterscarp, you buy the Robe of the Arcane Cheater treasure map from the trader Ihaka at The Thrifty Pig for a cool 1,680 skeyt. It points to a treasure apparently stowed away by a cheating student. The robe was more trouble that it was worth, costing the student his education and his future as a scholar.

Where to find the Robe of the Arcane Cheater treasure map location
To find the Robe of the Arcane Cheater treasure, you’ll need to travel to the Ancient Lakebed region of Shatterscarp. The closest fast travel beacon is the Ancient Lakebed South Beacon. From there travel north east to the spot marked in the map image above. You’ll reach a cliff overlooking a stagnant pond along with several enemies. If you drop down to the water and turn around, you’ll see the same landscape as in the picture on the treasure map.

But, don’t drop down to the water. Instead, drop down to the ledge just below where you’ll find a cave. Crawl through and you’ll come to a glowing yellow chest. Inside, you’ll find the Robes of Surpassing Brilliance along with x32 Silver Fenning, x2 Stelgaer Leather, and x1 Primal Water. Looting the robe will complete the Robe of the Arcane Cheater treasure map.
The Robes of Surpassing Brilliance is a unique piece of light armor that boasts 5% damage reduction and 46 additional damage reduction as base stats. Alongside, it has two buffs. Overseeing gives +15% area of effect damage, while Innate Talent grants +40 maximum essence, making it a top piece of armor for magic wielders who need a deep pool of essence to chain spells.
