- Az-Tech Trail features 7 bots, 3 puzzle pieces, and one Lost Galaxy portal for players to track down
- The level introduces the frog boxing gloves, a special skill that allows Astro to punch, slingshot, and pull large objects
The Az-Tech Trails drops you into a set of floating ruins loosely themed on the Aztec civilization, re-themed to fit the PS5’s tech. It’s a step up in difficulty from the previous two levels and the collectibles require some lateral thinking to unearth them all.
We’ll walk you through where to find all the bots, puzzle pieces, and the Lost Galaxy portal in the Az-Tech Trail level. If you’re after more Gorilla Nebula planet guides, check out the ones we have for Creamy Canyon and the Sky Garden planets.
Bot 1
After getting through the large wall at the start of level, press on across the bridge then across the moving platforms to the next floating island. Note the platform up on the left. Use the ladybug to create a jump pad and leap up. The bot is by the tree.
Bot 2
After picking up the frog boxing gloves, use them on the red block to make the jump pad. Leap up to the level above. Punch the cactus, then hop down to the lower platform on your left. Use the gloves on the red block to reveal a hidden cave. The bot is just inside.
Bot 3 – Spinning Marsupial
Once you have the frog boxing gloves, press on until you meet the second cactus enemy. Punch it, then turn right and you’ll see a set of floating platforms. Hop across and destroy the big crate of fruit revealing a third platform. The Crash Bandicoot bot is on the platform.
Bot 4
When you reach the chamber with the Russian doll enemy (you hit it and it gets smaller), jump up to the level above, then turn right. Use the gloves to destroy the breakable wall. The bot is just ahead surrounded by four enemies.
Bot 5
After using the slingshot to reach the upper portion of the planet, destroy the two Russian doll enemies, then hop up onto the platform on your left using the jump pad in the grass. The bot is hanging from the tree, though you’ll need to get through another enemy before you can grab it.
Punch any red or blue buttons you come across with the frog boxing gloves.
Bot 6
Just before the final vertical platforming section, you’ll have to jump across two moving blocks. Before jumping across, approach the first block to reveal a red block. Use the gloves to pull the block, revealing the bot. Hit it on the moving platform.
Bot 7 – Eco Warrior
Just before the final jump to the level’s end, turn left and use the red cylinder to hop to a platform. Use the gloves on the red block, defeat the enemies, then walk into the now-blue block, taking you to a hidden area. Follow the platforming section up to the top to find the bot.
Puzzle 1
After using the gloves to jump up the first red cylinder, use L2 or R2 on the red cube on your left to release a water stream. This will fill up the pond and release the puzzle piece.
Puzzle 2
After using the slingshot, hit the wall ahead to spawn a jump pad. Hop across then turn right and approach the floating platform. Glove hit the red block that appears then hop up to the top of the now-rotated platform to find the puzzle piece.
Puzzle 3
This one isn’t too far after the slingshot. Press on until you have to use two red cylinders to platform up a vertical wall. The puzzle is hidden in a small alcove right after the second cylinder.
Lost Galaxy portal
Around mid-way through the level, you’ll come to a chamber with a Russian doll enemy – destroy it and it gets smaller every time. On the wall are four braziers. Destroy all four to open a secret door leading to a disco ball and a portal. For the upper two, you’ll need to jump from the upper level on the right, which you can access using the ladybug as a jump pad.
