Sony has just wrapped up its State of Play event, which was fairly disappointing and missing many heavy hitters, although it did give us a look at some highly-anticipated titles such as Concord, as well as finally announce the release date for Silent Hill 2 Remake. The show concluded with the announcement of Astro Bot, a new entry in the series, marking the first full release since 2018.

PS5 owners may remember Astro from the incredibly charming Astro’s Playroom tech demo that is free on PlayStation 5, as well as the PS4 game Astro Bot Rescue Mission. In the trailer, we get to see Astro explore various worlds, with some being inspired by other games and IPs such as God of War, with a Kratos-inspired bot giving Astro his Leviathan Axe.

It was announced that Astro Bot will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 6th, 2024. Check out the announcement trailer below.
