Galbrena is a 5-star Fusion DPS unit who received her first banner with the Wuthering Waves version 2.7 update. She is powerful, but also reliant on her best-in-slot teammates to function optimally. This includes other Fusion units, such as Brant and Lupa, who synergize well with her.
That said, Galberna by herself is free-to-play friendly, which means you don’t need to pull for her signature weapon. The standard banner 5-star Pistol is perfect for the character. Lastly, Galbrena is also part of the characters who use the 3-piece Echo sets combined with a 2-piece one.
- Galbrena is a 5-star Fusion DPS unit in Wuthering Waves.
- She is a Pistol character and deals massive damage.
- She is restricted to specific teammates to function optimally.
- She is inspired by Devil May Cry characters, Dante and Vergil.
Best Galbrena builds

As a DPS unit, Galbrena relies on stats for optimal performance in endgame content. This means you need to build her with Attack, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG, in addition to some Energy Recharge. The best possible build for Galbrena is detailed in the following table.
| Build Elements | Equipment |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Lux and Umbra |
| Best Main Echo | Corrosaurus |
| Sonata Effect | Flamewing’s Shadow |
| Cost 4 | Crit Rate or Crit DMG |
| Cost 3 | Fusion DMG |
| Cost 1 | ATK% |
When it comes to substats, you should prioritize Crit Rate and Crit DMG, followed by Heavy Attack Damage Bonus and ATK percent. You should maintain about 75% Crit Rate and 250% Crit DMG. Finally, you should maintain about 120% Energy Recharge so that Galbrena’s Resonance Liberation comes back faster.
Galbrena in Wuthering Waves relies heavily on Fusion DMG, but if you can’t find a decent Echo, you can try using ATK percent on the Cost 3 slot. This will be temporary until you get a good Fusion DMG Echo.
Best Galbrena weapons

Galbrena is flexible in terms of weapon choice. Lux and Umbra is her first choice since it is her signature, and its passive synergizes perfectly with her kit. However, you can also try going for The Last Dance or Static Mist, both of which are excellent choices.
Lux and Umbra
This is the best weapon for Galbrena in Wuthering Waves, and it comes with Crit DMG substats, which makes it easy to balance her stats. Additionally, the weapon increases ATK by 12% and increases Heavy Attack Damage by 24% when using an Echo Skill.
Conversely, if you deal Heavy Attack Damage, you receive a 24% Echo Damage Amplification. Since Galbrena relies on Echo Skills a lot, this weapon buffs up her damage significantly. You can have both of these effects active at the same time. When that happens, you will ignore 8% of the enemy’s DEF.
The Last Dance
This is Carlotta’s signature weapon, but it works perfectly on Galbrena. The Last Dance also comes with high Crit DMG, and it increases ATK by 12%. Finally, every time you cast Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation, your Resonance Skill DMG will be amplified by 48%.
Static Mist
This is the standard banner Pistol, which also happens to be one of the best choices for Galbrena in the game. It comes with Crit Rate substats, which are exceptionally good. This is because getting a high Crit Rate is always more difficult than balancing Crit DMG.
As part of the passive, the character’s Energy Regen is increased by 12.8%. This ensures you don’t have to worry about Energy Regen in your Echoes. Finally, when you cast an Outro Skill, the incoming Resonator will receive a 10% ATK boost.
Best Galbrena Echoes

The best Echo for Galbrena is Flamewing’s Shadow, which is part of the three-piece Echo sets that were introduced to Wuthering Waves alongside Septimont. This will fill up three Echo slots, but the remaining two can be filled by Flaming Clawprint.
Flamewing’s Shadow increases the Crit Rate of your Heavy Attack by 20% whenever you deal Echo Skill DMG. This also works in reverse, where it increases the Crit Rate of Echo Skill by 20% whenever you deal Heavy Attack DMG. You also receive a 16% Fusion DMG Bonus when both effects are active.
The best main Echo for Galbrena is Corrosaurus. It is a three-Cost Echo, and it benefits both Flamewing’s Shadow as well as Flaming Clawprint. When activated, you’ll gain 12 Fusion DMG and 20% Echo Skill DMG, which are both perfectly suited to Galbrena.
Galbrena skills and rotations

WuWa Galbrena kit is a bit complicated, similar to Iuno, where you need to manage her Forte Circuit to trigger a couple of buffs for optimal damage. However, we’ll provide you with a detailed rundown of her kit so that it’s easy for you to understand.
Galbrena skills
The first step to playing Galbrena is entering her Demon Hypostasis State by pressing her Resonance Skill. The problem is that you need Sinflame Stacks to trigger the Demon Hypostasis State.
You can get Sinflame Stacks by using your Normal Attack, Intro, and Resonance Skill. Once your Sinflame Stacks hit 100, you can enter the Demon Hypostasis State. Under this state, all of Galbrena’s abilities are enhanced, as follows:
| Ability | Enhanced Mode |
|---|---|
| Basic Attack | Seraphic Execution |
| Heavy Attack | Flamewing Verdict |
| Mid-Air Attack | Hellsent Barrage |
| Dodge Counter | Purgatory Scourge |
| Resonance Skill | Ravage |
You also receive Purging Flame, which is an amplified version of Sinflame while under the Demon Hypostasis state. All the enhanced skills you use will need Purging Flame, which acts as the Forge Gauge for Galbrena.
Finally, Galbrena’s Resonance Liberation is an exceptionally powerful ability that you must use before depleting your Purging Flame stacks. Apart from dealing high damage, it also increases the damage multipliers of all the enhanced skills in Demon Hypostasis mode.
Galbrena is heavily inspired by Devil May Cry, including her animations and skills. As such, she also has a mechanic called Fated End, which is part of her Inherent Skill. When she uses her skills in quick succession, she receives Fated End stacks, which generate Combo on enemies.
The Combo counter for Galbrena runs from C to S, and the damage amplification starts from 5% and ends at 20%. You can check the level of the Combo Counter below the enemy’s HP bar.
One final part of Galbrena’s kit is the Afterflame mechanic, which is dependent on her team. Whenever her team members cast an Echo Skill, Galbrena will receive an Afterflame stack, which is marked by the Red bar on her Forte Gauge.
Each stack of Afterflame increases the damage of her enhanced abilities by 1.5%. The number of stacks can go up to 40, and you will receive a total of 60 damage amplification. However, this depends on her team, which is why she needs characters who also use Echo Skills.
Galbrena rotations
The key to playing Galbrena is filling up her Sinflame stacks as quickly as possible so that you can enter Demon Hypostasis mode. The rotation that you should be following is: Intro > Echo Skill > Basic Attack x6 > Resonance Skill > Resonance Liberation > Basic Attack x7 > Outro.
This combo will ensure that you gain the necessary Sinflame stacks and convert them into Purging Flame. You can then enter the Demon Hypostasis state and use your enhanced skills to deal damage. Make sure to keep your Combo stacks up so that your skills deal amplified damage.
Best Galbrena team comps

Galbrena is restricted by suitable team comps in Wuthering Waves, as there aren’t many characters who have kits catered towards Echo Skills. Here are the best possible team comps for Galbrena:
Galbrena mono Fusion team
Galbrena’s mono Fusion team consists of Lupa and Brant. This team is fully catered towards buffing up Galbrena to boost her damage to the maximum. You start the rotation with Lupa, who will provide Fusion and Basic Attack damage, which helps out Brant.
You also need to use Lupa’s ultimate ability, as it provides the Pack Hunt buff to increase ATK and Fusion damage for the entire party. Make sure to also use Lupa’s Echo Skill to buff up Galbrena.
Brant is a support here who can also deal decent damage, but he primarily functions as a sustain. Brant’s healing is very good, and he provides a Fusion damage buff through his Outro. Similar to Lupa, make sure to use his Echo Skill to provide the Afterflame stacks for Galbrena.
You end the rotation with Galbrena, who will use her Echo Skill and then follow it up with the ability transformations. Once Galbrena’s rotation is complete, switch back to Lupa to repeat once again.
Galbrena heavy attack team
This WuWa Galbrena team isn’t as powerful as the mono Fusion one, but it more than holds its own. The team consists of Iuno and Shorekeeper, both of whom are really strong all-around supports.
Scorekeeper will start with her domain and thereby activate heals and Crit Boosts for the entire party. Switch to Iuno quickly. She has a lengthy rotation; however, if you are familiar with her, you should be able to go through the rotation fairly quickly. Iuno provides Heavy Attack Boosts with her Outro, which is the key here.
Finally, once you switch to Galbrena, you’ll have the Heavy Attack buff from Iuno and the Crit boosts from Shorekeeper. The damage will hit hard, even though it won’t be on par with the mono Fusion team.
Is Galbrena worth pulling?

Yes, Galbrena is worth pulling, but there’s a catch. She isn’t as strong as other DPS units like Carlotta, Jinhsi, or even Phrolova. Galbrena is a niche character, and you need to have dedicated teammates to dish out optimal damage.
She needs Lupa and Brant if you want to amplify her to the point where she clears through Tower of Adversity easily. If you try to run her with standard teams, the damage will be there, but the rotations will be very slow, which you don’t want in endgame content.
Despite this, it’s always worth pulling for characters you enjoy playing. Galbrena is an enjoyable character, and she is quite flashy as well. She has a combo-oriented playstyle inspired by Devil May Cry. If you’re a fan and love the character, go for her.
