Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 just came out, and as with every previous entry in the series, this one is chock full of weapon variants and cosmetic items. The Frontal Impact is one such weapon, which was designed as an alternative version of a base TAQ-56.

The Blueprint for the Frontal Impact was given out as a reward for dedicated players who took part in the open beta for the game before launch, hoping to incentivize more players to test out the game. This is a strategy often used by the franchise, but it always leaves one question in the minds of players: will you be able to acquire the Blueprint once the beta is over?

What Is The Frontal Impact Blueprint

Understanding what exactly makes the Frontal Impact unique is key to understanding what makes it so valuable.

As a Blueprint, the Frontal Impact is essentially a different version of an existing weapon, or in this case, the TAQ-56. On the visual front, it looks pretty different from the base weapon, but it also comes with its own unique set of attachments. These attachments not only include a different stock than the base weapon, but they also feature a unique underbarrel grip that gives the user a whole different feel to it.

All in all, it is a very distinct variant of the original TAQ-56, and having it in your arsenal can indeed prove to be quite beneficial to users that might prefer it over the original model.

How Can You Unlock The Frontal Impact Blueprint

Unfortunately, at the time of publishing, there is no alternative method to acquire the Frontal Impact Blueprint. While the beta was out, this weapon variant was given out as a reward for reaching Operator level 30. Now that the beta is no longer active and the full game is out, these rewards are not available anymore.

Currently, there is no indication in-game that would allow us to conclude or infer whether or not these rewards will ever become available again in the future. Though there is no hard-set precedent for rewards such as these to become available again down the line, it is not something that is unheard of in the history of the Call of Duty franchise. But to see what the future has in store for the Frontal Impact Blueprint, we will simply have to wait.

Final Thoughts

While there isn’t any way to unlock the Front Impact Blueprint at the moment, we’re hoping for Activision to listen to the plight of their fanbase and bring back the beta rewards. With that said, we’ll make sure to update this article if anything like such happens. What other guides do you think we should cover in MW2? Let us know in the comments below!
