How to complete Rare Defender Upgrade Evolution

Completing the Rare Defender Upgrade Evolution in FC 24 Ultimate Team will take a minimum of 3 matches. There are two levels to the Evolution, each with its own upgrade. The Evolution will cost 150,000 Coins or 750 FP to unlock.

Level 1 – Overall +1, Passing +3, Dribbling +1, Defending +1, Physical +1, High Defensive Work Rate

• Play 1 Rivals or Champions match using your active EVO player in game.
• Win 1 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) match by at least 2 goals on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.

Level 2 – Overall +1, Pace +3, Dribbling +2, Defending +3, Physicality +3, Intercept PlayStyle+

• Win 2 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.
• Play 1 Rivals or Champions match using your active EVO player in game.

Leon Goretzka (OVR 85) 

Leon Goretzka is one of the best all-rounders, yet he hasn’t always felt great to use in-game. However, all that changes if you put him through the Rare Defender Upgrade in FC 24! The boost puts him into the Gullit Gang, then stick a Shadow on him and he will have 89 PAC, 81 SHO, 84 PAS, 86 DRI, 90 DEF, and 90 PHY!

Double-up

Use Joelinton in the Rare Defender Upgrade, then put him through the Radioactive Maestro Evolution to gain an unbelievable player! With a Shadow attached, he has a 93.9 Meta Rating, which is up there with some of the best cards in the game. He will also have the Radioactive chemistry boost, making it easy to include him in your squad.

Emre Can (OVR 83) 

Sticking in the Bundesliga with another German player, EasySBC tells us that Emre Can is the best card to use in this EVO, finishing up with a 92.4 Meta Rating! He has been a fan-favourite card for years so you know you are getting quality. The German also has great PlayStyles, including Pinged Pass, Long Ball Pass, Bruiser, Press Proven, and Aerial!

William Saliba (OVR 83)

William Saliba was one of the best defenders to use in the early FUT campaign, and he can still do bits even with all the special cards we’ve now had! Put him through the Rare Defender Upgrade Evolution and you won’t be disappointed. He is a great meta defender, helped by the Jockey and Anticipate PlayStyles.
