With the release of Deadpool in Season 6 and Elsa Bloodstone in February, the Marvel Rivals roster for the early 2026 has been nearly locked in. However, NetEase will add another hero in March, releasing a total of three heroes in the first quarter of the new year. Interestingly, we may already know who will be a new character in Season 7.
We are less than 24 hours away from the Season 6 launch, so speculating about the future may be too early. Still, it is interesting to see what NetEase has planned for the game this year, as the game developer recently teased the addition of Hive.
Will Hive come to Marvel Rivals?
Hive, one of the most terrifying Marvel villains, may appear in the hero shooter in 2026. The character appeared in the latest Marvel Rivals Infinity comic, which follows Hawkeye and Winter Soldier on a mission to the desert planet of Maveth.
While this is the first appearance of Hive in Marvel Rivals media, it is worth noting that the character was leaked last year. Dataminers discovered many new characters in the game data in 2025, and one of them was Hive.

Considering that NetEase plans to add more villains to the hero shooter, Hive makes perfect sense. The villain would likely be a Vanguard, due to his size and strength. The villain could also infect his enemies, inflicting debuffs or damage-over-time effects.
The potential release of Hive could also add Maveth as a new map. After all, each season of Marvel Rivals brings a new map, and this dark planet would be a perfect setting.
For now, we’re looking forward to trying out Deadpool and all the roles he can play. The new Marvel Rivals character even hints at Batman, who will likely never come to a Marvel game.
