Deadpool will arrive in Marvel Rivals this Friday, January 16. The popular comic book character will be the first hero released in 2026, and he will also be the most unique hero in the game. NetEase has teased this role over the past few weeks, switching between all three of them. At first, Deadpool was a damage dealer, followed by a tank, then finally a healer.

It turns out that the Merc with a Mouth will be able to perform any role in the game. Once you select him, you will be able to choose which role you want to play, making Deadpool a perfect hero for flex players.

Is Deadpool a damage dealer in Marvel Rivals?

Deadpool’s role in Marvel Rivals is unique, as he is the first hybrid hero. He can be a tank, a damage dealer, or a support hero. Once you select his role, you will receive a buff based on it, and you’ll be able to fill in any position your team needs.

There can only be one Deadpool per team, so you won’t be able to have three of them. Well, at least not in Quick Play or Ranked modes.

Now, the best part is that Deadpool’s role won’t be locked in once you select him. If you want him to be a damage dealer, but you change your mind later on, you will be able to change his role in the spawn room. Alternatively, you can simply do this once you get eliminated.

Another thing that makes the upcoming Marvel Rivals hero unique is his skillset. As you play Deadpool throughout the match, you will be able to level up his abilities and make him stronger. Furthermore, his ultimate ability will charge up differently based on the role you pick for him.

All in all, Deadpool will be very fun to use, and we can’t wait for Friday!
