CES 2024 has been and gone, and we’re here to breakdown everything there is to know about the Samsung S95D that was announced at the event.
The Samsung S95D has been unveiled as the successor to the highly popular S95C. The newest model shares some of S95C’s great features plus new technology that includes an anti-reflection screen and higher brightness. Each S95 TV iteration has been highly anticipated with comparisons like the S95B vs S95C highlighting what each model brought to the table.

Samsung S95D release date speculation
Samsung has not yet released any official information on the S95D model, therefore we do not have an confirmed release date yet. However, we do have the previous iterations to look at for guidance. The Samsung S95C was announced this time last year at CES 2023, and launched a couple months later in March 2023. If the S95D model follows this schedule then it’s likely it will be available by the end of Spring 2024.
Samsung S95D specs
Let’s talk specs. Samsung is introducing its ‘OLED Glare Free’ screen which should contribute to the elimination of reflections on screen. Alongside a clear screen, the S95D should have higher peak brightness than that S95C with 20% more brightness. As well as being Samsung’s brightest OLED screen yet, the S95D features high refresh rates up to 144Hz. Expect to enjoy stunning and seamless motion with the S95D.
While LG’s upcoming TV releases sing about its new AI processors, the Samsung S95D also quietly introduces the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor. This NPU, slated by Samsung as twice as fast as its predecessor, is going to allow for 8K upscaling alongside an AI motion enhancer. The hardware to render out 8K visuals isn’t really there, and it might never need to be. Advancements in AI processing such as the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, are going to allow for manufacturers to side-step the need for ultra-powerful hardware when it could be replaced by a beefy processor instead.
Samsung S95D speculated price
As we haven’t had any official confirmations from Samsung yet, we can’t confirm the price of the S95D model. Similar to the release date, we can hazard an educated guess on the prices based on the previous model:

It’s important to note that the addition of the new features are likely to be reflected in the price of the Samsung S95D. Can you pre-order the Samsung S95D?
At the moment, there’s no pre-orders for the Samsung S95D. As with the release of the S95C, the company generally announce pre-orders in the few weeks ahead of a release date, so expect preorders to begin in Spring ’24.
