RTX 4070 Ti Super Vs RTX 4070 Super – Specs comparison

At CES 2024, Nvidia’s special address saw the specs for all three GPUs in the Super line unveiled, promising high-end performances in 4K gaming and video editing. With the RTX 40 Super series using improved Ada Lovelace architecture, while both the 70-class cards sport improvements, they have been bolstered in different ways. The Ti Super is being built on the larger AD103 die with 4GB more GDDR6X VRAM, effectively making it an 80-class card, and the latter features 20% more CUDA cores at no extra cost. If you want to know if your 30 series GPU is better then check out our RTX 4070 Super vs RTX 3090 feature.

The RTX 4070 Super comes with 12GB of GDDR6X memory, which is marginally smaller than the new 16GB offered by the 4070 Ti Super. That being said, the 4070 Super has a memory bus of 192-bit while the 4070 Ti Super boasts a 256-bit memory interface, the same as the RTX 4080.

The 4070 Ti Super is armed with 8448 CUDA cores while the RTX 4070 Super only has 5888. The RTX 4070 Super was also impressive for its low power consumption compared to other Nvidia GPUs, with a TDP of 220W which remains more power-efficient than the RTX 4070 Ti Super’s TDP of 285W. The Ti Super offers a higher boost clock of 2.34GHz vs the 4070 Super’s 1.98GHz.

RTX 4070 Ti Super Vs RTX 4070 Super – Performance comparison

In terms of performance without DLSS 3 Frame Generation, the 4070 Super has an average frame rate of 133 fps at 1440p, and 60 fps at 4K with upscaling possibilities to 100fps with DLSS 3 support, while the 4070 Ti Super looks to be aiming for 60+fps at 4K without DLSS 3, however full Ray Tracing may cause this to drop to below 60fps according to Gadget Mates’ 4K gaming considerations.

Nvidia promises that the 4070 Ti Super will be 1.6x faster than the 3070 Ti, and 2.5x faster with DLSS 3, with a 4.1x higher performance during Alan Wake 2, while the 4070 Super is only 3.4x faster than its predecessor, RTX 3070, while running the same game. The RTX 4070 Ti Super also boasts 1440p panels for video editing and 3D rendering.
