The RTX 4060 Ti 8GB model arrived on May 24th, but where does that leave us for the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB release date?
Nvidia’s RTX 40-series has introduced the Ada Lovelace architecture, heralding 3rd Gen Ray Tracing cores and 4th Gen Tensor cores. Alongside that, each graphics card has brought with it a huge increase in CUDA Cores over its Ampere equivalent. You’re also getting a 128-bit bus with GDDR6 memory with an external bandwidth roughly equalling 500GB/s. While in theory these improvements sound promising, in practise, many critics do not buy into the $499 price tag of the 4060 Ti, simply because it has DLSS 3 and advanced ray tracing.

RTX 4060 Ti 16GB release date
The RTX 4060 Ti 16GB appears to have launched on July 18th, though at the time of writing, no cards are actually available to buy yet. It looks like we’re in the pre-order period for the 4060 Ti 16GB card. UK retailer Scan has listed the 4060 Ti 16GB with a due date of either July 25th or August 4th. In other words, Nvidia’s statement that the 4060 Ti 16GB model would arrive sometime in July now looks potentially misleading. Time will tell.
The card has an MSRP of $499, and those considering upgrading to the 4060 Ti should compare it to the 3060 Ti to check out the performance uplift. Our only reservation is that the bandwidth hasn’t changed between the 4060 and 4060 Ti, meaning the performance uplift will be pretty limited considering the 4060 Ti costs $100 more than the 4060.
