If you’ve kept up with tech news, you’re likely aware of Samsung’s latest lineup of Odyssey OLED models. CES 2024 is just round the corner, and therefore so is the official debut of the Odyssey monitors. We’re here to breakdown everything you need to know on the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 release (G60SD).
To be specific, we’re looking at the G60SD model, not to be confused with the G65B model launched in 2022. Samsung recently revealed three new gaming monitors in preparation for the 2024 CES: the 49-inch curved ultra-wide Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD), the 32-inch flat Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD), and the 27-inch flat Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD).
Each of the Odyssey monitors features VESA DisplayHDR, providing a peak brightness of at least 400 nits. A notable addition is the “Multi Control” feature, facilitating the transfer of images and text between Samsung devices. Here at Videogamer, we will delve into each model of the new Odyssey range to determine their potential as the next best gaming monitors. We’ve already had a look at the Odyssey G9 release and the Odyssey G8 release, let’s take a closer look at the G6.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 release date predictions
Currently, we do not have a confirmed date for the G6 release. What we know is that Samsung will be debuting their trio of Odyssey OLED monitors at CES 2024 on 9th Jan to 12th Jan. Therefore, next week we could have a lot more information.
However, if we look at previous iterations, it is possible to get more of an idea. The previous G6 model, the G65B, became widely available a couple months after it was announced. Therefore, we could be looking at a prompt arrival of the G6. Keep in mind, this is speculation as previous models of the G8 and G9 have taken longer to become available.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 price predictions – how much does it cost?
Samsung have not yet confirmed the official price of the new Odyssey OLED G6. It is likely we’ll have more information on the new monitors next week post-CES 2024.
If we look at price ranges of previous Samsung models, we can get an idea of what the G6 price might look like. Where previously, only the G8 and G9 ultrawide gaming monitors had the OLED treatment, the G6 now features an OLED display panel. In terms of OLED screens that fit a 1440p specification like the G6 does, they typically retail around the $1000 mark at full price. Where these monitors often hit 240Hz, the OLED G6 will be a 360HZ monitor, and could have a price to match that.
