Unless you’ve been living under a tech-free rock, you’ve probably seen that Samsung are releasing a whole new set of Odyssey OLED models. If you haven’t seen this then here’s everything you need to know on the upcoming release of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD model).
To clarify, we’re talking about the G9SSD model here. It’s not to get confused with the previous OLED G95SC model released in June last year. What we’re talking about here is the trio of new gaming monitors that Samsung have announced ahead of the 2024 CES. Yes, that’s right. Alongside the 49-inch curved ultra-wide Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD), there is a 32-inch flat Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD), and a 27-inch flat Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD).
With these new releases, there is something for everyone. All three of the new Odyssey monitors carry a VESA DisplayHDR for a peak brightness of at least 400 nits. There is also “Multi Control”, a new feature that allows the monitors to transfer images and text between other Samsung devices. Here, at Videogamer, we’re going to breakdown each model in the new Odyssey range and see whether they could be one of the best gaming monitors. For now however, let’s take a closer look at the G9.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 release date predictions
Samsung have announced the new trio of Odyssey OLED monitors that are reportedly being debuted at CES 2024. This means that, the monitors will be unveiled next week as the event commences on 9th Jan 2024 and finishes on Friday 12th. Currently, Samsung haven’t revealed anymore information on when you can get your hands on these screens.
However, if we look at the previous iteration, the G95SC, there are some potential clues. It was announced at CES 2023 in January, and then it was released in June 2023. Therefore, if Samsung are continuing this system then we could be looking at a release of the G95SD model in June 2024.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 price predictions – how much does it cost?
Let’s talk money. Samsung have not currently confirmed the price of the new Odyssey OLED G9 but we’ve taken a look at previous models to get an idea of what it could be. The last G9 iteration, the Odyssey G95SC model, was released at $2200. It’s definitely not cheap, but when you’re working with some of the best ultrawide gaming monitors, it comes with a price.
