Ahead of a full game reveal at the upcoming Warzone event, Activision has finally given us a confirmed release date for the awaited Modern Warfare 3. While official teasers haven’t revealed much so far apart from a name and release date, fans can start getting excited for the next instalment of the shooter franchise by finding out if it will be coming to their favourite console. Will Modern Warfare 3 be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S?

In short, yes. There was initial confusion as to whether Modern Warfare 3 would be making its way to Xbox One after the Microsoft store page for the game seemed to only note it would be playable on Xbox Series X/S. Alongside this, A trailer on the PlayStation Youtube channel revealed that the next Call of Duty will be released on both PS5 and PS4 which only left more Xbox fans confused. However, the Xbox website has now been updated to include the Xbox One as a playable console for the game.

The confirmed release date has only added to the growing anticipation for Activision’s next step for Call of Duty. We’re expecting new features, weapons, and maps to say the least.
