A Honkai Star Rail PS5 release date has been confirmed by HoYoverse and Sony during a State of Play broadcast in September. Initially released on mobile and PC in April 2023, the PS5 release for Honkai Star Rail has finally been given a fixed release date.
Made by the same folks who brought us Genshin Impact, Honkai is already in line to be one of the most popular games out there. Already topping the App Stores charts, the game is sure to attract a huge crowd. With this, Honkai Star Rail will be available on PC, mobile, and now the PS5. A release is now confirmed for Honkai Star Rail, but when exactly?
Honkai Star Rail PS5 release date
The Honkai Star Rail release date is set for October 11, 2023. This date was confirmed by Hoyoverse and Sony during a State of Play broadcast that took place on September 14. Prior to this release date, Honkai Star Rail was speculated to be released in Q4 2023, and now we finally have a fixed date for the console release of Honkai Star Rail.
When is Honkai Star Rail coming on PlayStation?
We now know that Honkai Star Rail is going to be released on PS5 on October 11, 2023. The news of this announcement date came with a trailer, showing off the general gameplay of Honkai Star Rail and showing us some of the characters and combat. You can watch the announcement trailer here.
HoYoverse announced that a release window was confirmed for Honkai Star Rail on PS5 during the Summer Games Fest in June. The news was shared in a short video announcement during the Summer Games Fest show. With this fixed release date for Honkai Star Rail on PS5, we saw in the trailer that Honkai Star Rail is a timed console exclusive on PS5. This might mean that we will see the game ported to Xbox or elsewhere in the future, but for now, Honkai Star Rail will only be on PS5, mobile, and PC.
Genshin Impact has been on PS4/5, mobile, and PC, and while there is a confirmed Switch release for Genshin, we don’t think Honkai is going to get the same treatment here. It seems incredibly unlikely now that Honkai Star Rail will come to Nintendo Switch or Xbox consoles, but never say never.
