How powerful is the RTX 4070?
From the looks of things – the RTX 4070 could be a very decent mid-range graphics card. Unfortunately, it seems to be priced quite high. This has been a recurring theme with Nvidia’s graphics cards released recently, and is a result of extremely high demand, slightly reduced availability, and also Team Green’s growing foothold on the GPU market. However, price is a subjective thing. While it may cost a lot for some, for others it might be a steal. So, we look to the specs instead.
12GB of GDDR6X VRAM is a respectable amount. The RTX 4070 Ti, built on the same GPU chip, has the same amount of VRAM, though an increased amount of processor cores makes all the difference. That said, the RTX 4070’s 5888 CUDA Cores are not to be dismissed. Ada architecture, alongside DLSS 3 capabilities and 3rd Gen RT cores will make this an extremely formidable GPU.
