ASUS and Razer are both known for making some of the most powerful gaming laptops out there. We’re having a look at two of their best 14-inch options. The Razer Blade 14 comes in two variations, each of which balances price and performance slightly differently while boasting powerful gaming ability packaged in a sleek, compact, and portable device.
Much of the same can be said about the ASUS G14. Being one of the best ASUS gaming laptops, it too comes in different versions but is consistently high-performance. Likewise, it seeks to balance this impressive gaming performance with portability and a slim design.

There are two versions of the Razer Blade 14, one with higher performance specs. For the version with Ryzen 9 7940HS and a 240Hz display costs $2,399. The Ryzen 9 6900Hz and 165Hz versions will set you back $1,799.
Both of these are more expensive than the most affordable G14 laptop. This costs $1,599 and features a Ryzen 9 CPU and 512GB of storage. The more premium option costs $1,999 and features a 144Hz 1440p display and an RX 6800S chip.
Overall the ASUS G14 is cheaper though you won’t see either of these laptops on any list of the best gaming laptops under $1000. Though, in return for your investment you do get high performance.

These are two high-end and high-performance gaming laptops. If you have a focus on portability and gaming these 14 inch screens should definitely be given consideration.
As for which one you should go for, it comes down to your personal preferences and budget, rather than crowning any outright winner. In general, the ASUS G14 is the more affordable laptop and gives you an impressive amount of bang for your buck. This means a 144Hz refresh on a 1440p screen which is capable of producing fast frame rates thanks to powerful specs and impressive features. On top of that it can cost as little as $1,599.
In general, the Razer Blade 14 is the more premium device. It has the option to come with the incredibly powerful RTX 4070 mobile GPU and a lighting-fast 240Hz refresh. If sheer gaming performance is of primary concern to you, the most powerful Razer Blade 14 is more powerful than its G14 equivalent.
