Intel’s latest generation of chips feel tantilisingly close. When they do finally drop the 14th Gen specs are sure to be the most powerful the company has ever released. The i9-14900K is especially anticipated, with many thinking it could just take the crown as the best CPU for gaming on the market.
Although precious little has been officially confirmed, it is looking pretty likely that we are very close to the Intel 14th gen release date, this means that the logical next question is can they be pre ordered. The short answer is no, the medium answer is not yet, and the full answer is coming right up.
Can you pre order Intel 14th Gen CPUs?
Though you can’t pre order the Intel 14th Gen CPUs at the time of writing, we are predicting that a pre order will go live before the chip’s release. Though this is based on previous Intel launches and reliable leaks, it is nevertheless speculation, and so should be taken with a grain of salt.
When a new CPU launches, it is common for certain retailers to have pre-orders, so gamers can ensure they get their hands on the new tech. For example, PC giant NewEgg listed pre orders for Intel’s 13th gen CPU almost 3 weeks before their actual launch.
If release window leaks prove accurate, we won’t be seeing pre orders this far in advance for Meteor Lake. However, WePC has pointed out that the US tech retailer Central Computers, for a time, had a banner on their site stating that pre orders for Intel’s 14th Gen would go live on the 16th of October. This kind of mistake is actually fairly common with online retailers and the information revealed often proves correct.
That said, until anything is officially listed we cannot be certain of this date. We’ll be updating this article as soon as we know more.
