So, is Wo Long Fallen Dynasty better with a controller or keyboard – stick around to find out!
The release of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is finally here and is available to play both on PC and console, including PlayStation and Xbox. The game has full controller support with 5 controllers presets available. This is great news for those who like to customize their controller’s vibrations and map their inputs.
But is Wo Long better with a controller or keyboard? Unfortunately for the game makers, the answer to that question is painfully obvious – Wo Long is best played with a controller. At least for now. Despite a pretty decent review from us, the game has received a bit of a bashing on Steam forums. Keyboard gamers are complaining about the game’s poor camera control when using a keyboard and mouse.
Gamers who use a controller have fortunately had a fairly different gaming experience. You get 5 controller presets available, meaning you have freedom with how you map your inputs should you wish. There are also customizable vibration settings combined with haptic controllers on PlayStation’s new DualSense Edge controller, which we can confirm is compatible with PC.

How to fix the Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Controller issues on PC?
As an action role-playing game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is well suited to playing on PC with a controller if you’re keen on slaying the enemy. However, some players have been experiencing issues on getting the game to recognize their controller, or else are finding the input mapping is faulty.
Restart all connections
It’s the OG solution for a reason. Restart your PC and see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn’t work, close the game and then disconnect and reconnect your controller before relaunching.
Disable HID-compliant game controllers.
The issue seems to be being fixed for many by going to Device manager > Human Interface Devices > Disable all HID-compliant game controllers.
If the problem persists, see if your controller works on other games in the Steam library. This will confirm that the issue is with the game itself and not the controller. If none of the above has worked you may have to wait for a patch to fix the bug.
Frequently asked questions
Should I use a controller for PC gaming?
Most of the time, it comes down to personal preference. Controllers do have more precise inputs than mouse clicks, however, there are also fewer inputs to choose from.
