We’re taking a look at the best PC case for RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti for those upgrading, or building an entirely new gaming system.
With new 4060 cards on the way, now is the time to check out the best PC cases available to house your new graphics card. Unlike other members of the 40-series family that have been pretty beastly in size, you’ll be surprised to learn the 4060 Ti size is slightly smaller. The Founder’s Edition card is a two slot model measuring 244mm by 98mm. Since we’re expecting partner models to be a little bigger, we’ve chosen a selection that will accommodate a little more.

- Good cable management
- Basic design
Offering excellent value for money, the Corsair 4000D Airflow delivers on quality while maximising airflow to keep your RTX 4060 well-ventilated. It features two 120mm fans pre-installed that do wonders for your airflow, offering space for both liquid and fan cooling. Though it’s a little smaller than the Corsair 5000-series, you’ll still find it delivers adequate clearance for your 4060 Ti.
It’s a mid-tower case supporting ATX, E-ATX, MicroATX plus Mini-ITX form factor motherboards. However, we’d recommend that you go for an ATX or mATX option for your 4060 Ti build. If you’re opting for more traditional cooling, there are ten fan bays here, with six able to hold 120mm fans and four able to hold 140mm fans. Despite its budget credentials, we vouch for the Corsair 4000D Airflow’s aesthetics. Its mesh side panel also means you can get some eye-pleasing RGB components to up the ambiance.
Overall, it’s a fantastic case and well within the budgets of most. If you are thinking of upgrading your gaming setup, the Corsair 4000D Airflow comes highly recommended.

If you’re an RGB fan, then this Phanteks Eclipse P400A fits the bill pretty well. Of course, this case isn’t just a looker – it offers extremely effective airflow that delivers a brilliant performance. You’re in good hands with Phanteks too, which has been a community favourite for some time now.
It comes with a removable tempered glass window and three fabulous pre-installed RGB fans for airflow. If you want to optimize airflow even further, we recommend moving one of the fans to the back of the case, and potentially purchasing an additional 120mm fan for the back to maintain those aesthetics. The case also comes equipped with good rear cable management, helping to maintain that nice aesthetic.
Best budget PC case for RTX 4060 Ti – Thermaltake Versa H18
Thermaltake Versa H18
Type
Mid Tower
Motherboard support
mATX, Mini-ITX
Ports
1 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0
Dimensions
398 x 205 x 439mm
Fan support
1 x 120mm
- Very cheap
- Comes with one pre-installed fan
- Nice design
- Doesn’t fit ATX motherboards
- We recommend an additional fan
Our budget option is the Thermaltake Versa H18 which offers a good balance between aesthetics, performance and price. It’s certainly not the most impressive PC case in the world, but at this price, you can’t complain.
Though it’s a real downside not being compatible with ATX motherboard, however, it does mean you get a much more compact chassis overall. Its side panel window also means you can showcase your 4060 Ti which is always a bonus. We recommend purchasing an additional 120mm fan to improve the airflow of this case, though it does a pretty good job out of the box.
Things to consider
Purchasing a PC case is an important investment as it supports all your supporting PC components. Before getting started, make sure you know your motherboard form factor, graphics card length, how many drivers you’ll be using, and whether you’ll be installing a radiator. We’ll go into a little more detail below.
Motherboard form factor
The three most popular form factors are E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX in descending order of size. Smaller PC cases mean there’s less space for additional features. This isn’t an inherently bad thing, though if you’re making a high-end build, you’ll probably want an ATX board so there’s space to upgrade in the future. For a bit of guidance, check out the best motherboards for gaming.
Airflow and water cooling
Good airflow is a must for your PC case if you want to keep your graphics card and CPU in good nick. Most cases will ship with fans already installed, and some will even have built-in LEDs. If cooling is a central concern, or perhaps you have a Ryzen X3D CPU that is especially sensitive to high temperatures, then it would be wise to have additional space should you upgrade to an all-in-one cooler.
As for water coolers, you’ll need to choose a case with plenty of space for the water cooler itself and the large accompanying radiator fans.
RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti PC case clearance
While our selection of cases should easily accommodate the 4060 and 4060 Ti, it’s worth getting the exact measurements once you’ve chosen which model you’re getting. The 4060 Ti size involves two slots with a length of 244mm and a width of 98mm, meaning it will fit in most systems. In comparison to other cards, the 4070 is similar in length though slightly wider. Meanwhile, the RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition measures 242mm with a width of 112mm. Overall, all these PC cases should provide adequate clearance though you should take extra care with smaller form factors.
The RTX 4060 has a length of 240mm and a width of 111mm, making it a very similar size to the 4060 Ti, also featuring a dual slot design. Of course, third party cards could be slightly larger.
Can the RTX 4060 Ti fit inside an SFF case?
The RTX 4060 Ti will fit in smaller form factor cases, but you should always check the exact measurements of your card before committing to a PC case.
