The next Fortnite update will bring an annual Halloween event! This is one of the best times of the year for Fortnite players, and this year will be especially amazing. Epic Games has revealed numerous iconic characters coming to Fortnite in October, so let’s take a look at the early patch notes.

As previously revealed, the upcoming event will add many Halloween-themed skins. Epic will also release a new map, map changes in Battle Royale, new items, and a lot more content.

Early patch notes for the Fortnite Halloween event

On Tuesday night, Epic confirmed most of the skins that were previously leaked. This includes the Scooby-Doo collaboration and Jason Voorhees, who are among the most exciting additions to the game.

The upcoming update will add the following:

  • Fortnitemares event in Battle Royale
  • New items and unvaulting of old ones
  • Jason Voorhees Medallion
  • Map decorations and the spooky island vibe
  • New Fortnite Reload map
  • Fortnite x Doja Cat collaboration
  • New skins: Ghostface, Jason Voorhees, Terrifier, Black Phone, Huggy Wuggy, R.E.P.O., original skins

The new Fortnite Reload map will not be available to everyone right away. Instead, players who finished in the top 25% in the Early Access Cup last week will get early access to it. Later on, Epic Games will release it for everyone, likely in the second half of October.

The upcoming Fortnite update will bring even more content, which is not included in our patch notes. This content hasn’t been leaked or revealed yet, so we will have to wait for the update to come out to see everything that Epic has added. The update will roll out on all platforms at 4 AM Eastern Time on Thursday.
