In case you missed it (I get it, you're probably still shocked at Germany crashing out of the World Cup, right?), Destiny 2 will be getting a Collections feature this autumn alongside the much-anticipated Forsaken expansion.

As one of the major new additions for Bungie's loot-gobbling alien shooter, Collections pretty much does what it says on the tin: It lets you track everything you've got your hands on, such as weapons, armour, Exotics, vanity items, and more.

It also comes in handy if you're running out of vault space to store all your gear, so there's that too.

Crucially, Bungie has confirmed just how far back Destiny 2's Collections will track. The answer? It'll date as far back as Warmind, which is the game's second expansion that came out in spring 2018.

While this isn't as far back as some may have hoped (Curse of Osiris would have been a happy medium if you ask me), you can at least utilise Collections to reacquire stuff you've previously earned for a small fee.

Bungie's not saying how much this service will cost, but it sure beats the hell out of wishing for the best on random loot drops.

Year 2 of Destiny 2 is looking pretty meaty so far, with Forsaken set to fully reinvigorate the troubled shared-world shooter with a brand new story (which sees you hunting Cayde-6's killers; yes, they actually killed off their best character), new Strikes, armour, Exotics, Daily Heroic Story missions and the PvP/PvE mashup, Gambit Mode.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on September 4.
