Team17 and Villa Gorilla have staple-gunned a release date to pinball-esque postmaster-'em-up Yoku's Island Express, confirming the game will launch on May 29 priced at £15.99.
The game's concept is certainly unique. You play as the titular Yoku, a dung beetle living in relative peace on the picturesque Mokumana Island who recenly takes up the job of Postmaster. This is where things get interesting. Yoku is essentially an open-world pinball game, offering a massive island to explore while combining platforming and explorative elements; there's side quests, characters to meet, and collectibles to hoover up.
Yoku's Island Express is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One as a digital download title. Check out a behind the scenes video below to get a better idea of how things are shaping up.
