Soulsbourne-inspired action RPG Thymesia will arrive on August 9, developer Overborder Studio & publisher Team17 have announced.

The game puts you in the role of Corvus. He’s an amnesiac being who finds himself in a plague-ridden kingdom full of secrets – including his own origins. You’ll be exploring this Kingdom as you uncover the truth, while wielding plague-based powers against your foes.

You’ll fight bosses with their own diseases, and add them to your own arsenal as you defeat them. You also happen to have a raven form you can transform into during combat. You’ll also get to upgrade your weapons and abilities as you go, unlocking new attacks for Corvus to use. Timing, dodging and parrying are all important factors to success here, as you find your own approach to combat.

The game was originally scheduled to release in December 2021, but was pushed into 2022 back in November of last year. There’s been three gameplay trailers for the game over the past month, explaining the fundamentals of combat. And then there’s the game’s release date trailer too, helpfully provided by IGN. You can find all four below.
