The road to WrestleMania is underway and so too is the road to the release of WWE 2K24. While Cody Rhodes may or may not finish the story in reality, wrestling fans will be able to live the boyhood dream in 2K’s newest installment before the 40th showcase of immortals arrives. Here you will find the WWE 2K24 release date as well as everything you need to know about the game from early access to DLC, roster size, game modes, and much more.

You can pre-order WWE 2K24 right now. There are three editions available, and they feature multiple male and female cover star athletes. But, while the covers feature absolutely gorgeous artwork, what’s most important about the game is all of the improvements. Yes, the graphics and animations look slightly better than before as is ever the case, but beloved match types are returning including special guest referee after nearly 10 years.

The new year is always the most exciting time for wrestling fans, and we don’t have too long to wait until WrestleMania and the release date for 2K’s newest video game.

WWE 2K24 DLC

2K has confirmed that the WWE 2K24 Season Pass will consist of five DLC packs for post-launch. This is similar to what happened with 2K22 and 2K23. Presumably each pack will contain five new wrestlers as is tradition.

None of the DLC superstars have been confirmed right now, but there is the likelihood that CM Punk will be part of the Season Pass. Not only CM Punk, but fans are also hopeful for Jade Cargill, as well as the returning Kairi Sane. Fans would also like to see legends such as William Regal, the Sandman, and Fit Finlay.

WWE 2K24 roster size

The WWE 2K24 roster will officially include more than 200 wrestlers from current-day and the past. We have compiled an overview of the roster list including DLC predictions and leaks, but below is everyone 2K has confirmed as of writing:

  • Stone Cold
  • Andre the Giant
  • Hulk Hogan
  • Macho Man Randy Savage
  • Roman Reigns
  • Cody Rhodes
  • Charlotte Flair
  • Rhea Ripley
  • Bianca Belair
  • Bret Hart
  • Shawn Michaels
  • Undertaker
  • Becky Lynch
  • Batista
  • Kurt Angle
  • Brock Lesnar
  • Asuka

Of course, the above is only a very small snippet of the full roster list. Way over a hundred more names will be confirmed ahead of launch, and so too will the ratings as we await to see if Roman Reigns is once again the highest-rated fighter.

Game modes

WWE 2K24 has the following game modes confirmed so far:

  • 2K Showcase…of the Immortals (40 years of WrestleMania showcase)

In addition to all of the above, there will be all of the usual match types along with the returning and new ones:

Finally, as if all of the above wasn’t enough, WWE 2K24 also introduces four-player support Backstage Brawl along with new and interactive environmental elements that include an elevator, control room glass, and a vending machine with throwable sodas.
