Wuthering Waves fans have plenty to anticipate for the near future with the launch of update 1.2, but before then we will be treated to the arrival of Changli. There is a lot of excitement surrounding this upcoming new playable heroine, and Kuro has delivered “well deserved” buffs for Changli before her Wuthering Waves debut.
Genshin Impact fans are stoked about the 5.0 leaks pointing to a specific “playable” character for the future, but Genshin fans may soon be turning to WuWa. Huge 1.2 leaks has fans praising developer Kuro for listening to the community, meanwhile, another leak suggests Wuthering Waves is set to get a big upgrade Genshin Impact fans have wanted for years.
There are a lot of leaks pointing to exciting developments and improvements for update 1.2, but before then we will get Changli. Her banner is set to launch very soon, and she has received significant buffs prior to her release.
Wuthering Waves Changli buffs
On the Wuthering Waves subreddit, there is a new post titled ‘Changli got buffed (It has already been implemented in the game)‘. In the replies, user jayluck2 explains the “Changes now in the game as of the latest patch:”
- Resonance Liberation Resonance Energy Cost 150 – > 125
- Her Signature Weapon: After reaching the max stacks, all stacks will be removed in 10s -> After reaching the max stacks, all stacks will be removed in 12s
Reacting to the pre-release buffs, fans are very happy. Comments says, “Glad they noticed she was gonna be a lil clunky,” and “This sets a nice precedent with game balance, seeing as characters can get buffed when needed even after their initial patches”.
There are more simple comments such as “well deserved” and “good changes”. There are also comments reflecting on the buffs and whether they are good enough.
One of the comments says, “Decent buffs but it would be better if they made the stack buffs last 15 seconds instead of 12 since that’s still too tight, I don’t understand why they’re trying to be so safe”. Another comment says, “Good changes overall, but still don’t know why they make the stacks reset at all, literally being punished for playing the character”.

The release date for Changli in Wuthering Waves is July 22nd. Her banner will end on August 14th, and it’s believed that update 1.2 will launch the day afterward.
