For Modern Warfare 2 (MW2), this is no different, and since its launch, has propelled a lot of popular questions raised by fans pertaining to the latest Call of Duty experience.
One of those questions that has floated to the top of the heap, is whether Modern Warfare 2 will be home to a new Zombies game mode?
In its previous two editions, Call of Duty did incorporate a Zombies mode. And fans who have enjoyed those experiences, have wondered if Zombies will make a third straight appearance in Modern Warfare 2?

Without another moment to spare, let’s see what we can expect from Modern Warfare 2 and whether it will actually feature a Zombies game mode this year.
Will There Be A Zombies Mode On MW2?
The answer is no. Infinity Ward, the gaming developer of Modern Warfare 2, have not made any announcements that they are going to add in a Zombies mode into Call of Duty’s new game and that doesn’t come to much of a surprise.
For starters, Call of Duty did add a Zombies mode in each of its last two installments they released prior to MW2, this being in ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard’ and in ‘Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War’. As a result, it would have been surprising to see Call of Duty bring it back for a third straight year.
In comparison to Cold War, the Vanguard Zombies mode was a major let down. It lacked a variety of vital ingredients and the Outbreak mode didn’t even compare to Cold War’s much improved experience.
This leads right into final point, which comes down to the gaming development. In case you don’t know, Modern Warfare 2 was created by Infinity Ward. And as we know from their Call of Duty history, Zombie modes are just not their expertise. When Call of Duty has really capitalized with its Zombie experiences, it’s been with Treyarch, which was responsible for not only developing Cold War, but also for the iconic, Call of Duty: Black Ops.
With the release of both Warzone 2.0 and DMZ coming soon (November 16th), two huge game modes, it just doesn’t seem very likely that Modern Warfare 2 will have a Zombies mode this year.
