While MW2 and Warzone 2’s first season of post launch content was already pretty generous, there’s actually a bunch more additional stuff coming to the shooter in the near future.

That’s because Activision generally divide each season of content into two halves – and they’ve already revealed some of what’s coming up.

Let’s jam through what we know about Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded so far.

What Is MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded?

Reloaded is the Call of Duty term for the mid season update for the game. Generally speaking, when a new season is revealed, roughly a half to three quarters of the content is released right away, while some is saved for a few weeks later.

As the use of ‘mid season’ suggests, these usually come around half-way through the ongoing season.

When Is The MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded Release Date?

Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 01 Reloaded is set to drop in-game on December 14th. As mentioned on the Call of Duty official blog, there’s set to be the first Call of Duty League Major that takes place “right after the Season 01 mid-season update” from December 15th to December 18th.

What Does MW2 & Warzone 2 Reloaded Include?

The Reloaded update will include a handful of major additions. For MW2, a classic map is returning in the form of Shipment.

Meanwhile, the long awaited new co-op feature known as Raids are also debuting with the mid-season refresh. These will be extensive, multi-part co-op missions – something similar to the existing Spec Ops, but much expanded.

In addition, a new weapon will also be arriving in MW2 and is called the Chimera. It’s a new assault rifle that is designed for stealth engagements.

Moreover, Infinity Ward will be including combat records into Warzone 2 once the Season 01 Reloaded update launches. However, the stats recorded will only be from the activation date forward. It won’t include stats from the Season 01 launch up until the arrival of the Reloaded patch.

Finally, two more operators are set to drop in bundles during the Mid-Season Update. One of those is MW2 campaign character Gaz and the other is Klaus.
