Following on from the shocking launch on March 22nd, Counter Strike 2 is finally here, and a few lucky people have been invited to play the beta. However, if you’re worried about missing your opportunity to check out what modes are available, you’re going to want to find out how long the CS2 live test will last.

The last week has been filled with suspicion and theories that Valve were planning to announce their new iteration of the heavily anticipated tactical shooter, with fans going as far to predict a release date based on the angle of the new logo. It’s clear that Counter Strike players are itching to maximise their time in game, so let’s go over everything you need to know here.

How long will the Counter Strike 2 live test last?

According to the Steam FAQ: Counter Strike 2 is expected to ship Summer 2023, and nothing much more is said about how long the limited test will last aside from a notice to stay up to date with the Counter Strike blog for the latest updates on the limited test.

However, there’s a few other things that might be of note – including the hint that more players will be added to the Limited Test over time, which suggests that this isn’t going to be a limited test running for a few days, but an extended period of time.

Predictions for Counter Strike 2 limited test end date

With this in mind, we’re predicting that the Counter Strike 2 live test is going to last between two-four months. Seeing as this is a live test, it’s likely that this time period is going to be used to implement bug fixes and gameplay improvements, which don’t come quick. If anything, it could even last longer than two-four months, so we’re not going to settle on an exact date. Just know it’s here for a while.
