So, last night EA announced that Joe Hart and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will join Lionel Messi on the cover of FIFA 13.

That news has been met by praise or bemusement, depending on which club the person you’re talking to supports. But what would have been the reaction from fans had EA done the following.
We know Lionel Messi is a superstar, so in all likelihood he’d remain as the main cover star. Here he is below.

But what if the licensing and art department at EA got hooked on this Lionel thing, and experimented? First there’d be Lionel Blair, the entertainer most people reading this won’t remember because they’re too young.
[hr]
The team would think they’re on to something, next developing an idea with Lionel Richie and Lion-O from ThunderCats.

As you can tell, the idea involving Blair suddenly seems quite misguided, leaving him out in the cold and the FIFA 13 Lionels Edition is born.

Now, if you’re moaning about the players EA chose to appear on the cover of FIFA 13, at least it wasn’t as bad as that.
