Call of Duty Warzone recently received an update. Unfortunately, this update got some backlash from fans. While a few weapons received changes and adjustments, fans were miffed that a particular gun did not receive any reconfigurations at all. Fortunately, in response to the backlash, Call of Duty Warzone developer has promised to nerf a weapon players have lambasted as ‘sweaty’ and ‘overpowered’.

Fans of Call of Duty have lots to anticipate for the very near future. A new MW3 mode and map has leaked for 4/20, and this is also when fans will be able to get a bundle that literally turns enemies into joints. As if all of this wasn’t enough, rumors suggest CoD 2024 will be revealed soon, and the Black Ops Gulf War beta release window may have already leaked.

While all of the above is exciting for Modern Warfare 3 and the future of the Call of Duty series, arguably the most popular aspect of CoD nowadays is Warzone battle royale. It has thousands of players on a daily basis and the community will be pleased that Raven Software intends to nerf a vigorously hated weapon.

Warzone devs promise to nerf Renetti

Raven Software has said that they will nerf the Renetti. The official CODUpdates Twitter account posted patch notes for the April 9th update, and this received much backlash from fans who were gobsmacked that there were no adjustments for the Renetti.

In response to all of the backlash online, the official ravensoftware Twitter account posted that they ‘are working on adjustments to the Renetti which will be released in the near future’. There’s no exact date for when the adjustments will be delivered, but hopefully it’s very soon.

Below are all of the weapons that received changes in the April 9th update patch notes:

  • FJX Horus
    • Optic Attachments with an integrated laser are no longer compatible with the ECS Requieter Suppressor Muzzle.
  • TAQ Evolvere
    • Removed duplicate ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider Muzzle Attachment.
  • Mors
    • Hurricane 9 Variable Optic
      • Removed the ability to equip this incompatible Attachment.

The Renetti is currently loathed by the Call of Duty community. Fans have lamented on Reddit that it is ‘extremely overpowered,’ and fans have dubbed it the ‘sweaty Renetti’.

Reacting to Raven Software’s Twitter post, fans are glad that nerfs are on the way, but the lack of action right now is frustrating. One of the top replies asks, ‘Is it really that hard to change the base damage amount per bullet down 2 or 3 points?,’ meanwhile, some of the replies say it should be removed until the adjustments are made.

In other Call of Duty news, MW3 has added persistent lobbies with option that upsets some players.
