The arrival of Warzone 2 Season 3 gives the exciting Resurgence mode a ‘massive’ makeover with the introduction of Massive Resurgence. This new form of the fast-paced battle royale now allows you to make use of the entirety of Al Mazrah as your playground. The regular lobby size of 150 players will also be featured, which means that there’ll be plenty of action to go around as you and your team roam the large, desert-themed map.

But aside from the changes being made to Resurgence, Infinity Ward and Raven Software have also revealed a few key updates to the regular Warzone 2 match type. This is obviously welcome news for fans of the ever-popular CoD battle royale mode since many had felt that the game’s pace had slowed to a crawl in the past few months.

One of the biggest improvements that’s being included with the arrival of the third season is the introduction of a new Gulag. The new prison-like location where captured operators can duke it out will reportedly be called Blacksite, “a roughly rectangular, asymmetrical map with several interior spaces and long, external routes.” This same area will apparently be available through the returning Gunfight mode, which means you’ll be able to practice playing through it outside of the battle royale.

A few other features are also being brought in during Warzone 2 Season 3, such as the addition of Redeploy Drones and Perk Packs. It’s worth noting though that while the former will be available immediately at launch, the latter will only be brought in during midseason. With that said, these floating devices that can be found scattered throughout the map can be a useful and efficient way of traveling – as long as you don’t mind getting shot at, that is.

With all of these enhancements and more set to arrive, players are now as excited as ever to start dropping in to the battle royale once again.
