The action-packed DMZ game mode in Warzone 2 has brought an exciting new flavor to CoD’s typical battle royale offering. Unfortunately, the new match type hasn’t been without its glaring flaws that its users have been quick to point out.

The lack of a reconnect option in DMZ has become a specific talking point in recent days within the community. What should be a basic feature within any online multiplayer game has puzzlingly been omitted and the game’s loyal player base is paying the price.
One Reddit post has detailed the various consequences that users face when suddenly disconnected from a match. The user had this to say about his experiences: “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve crashed, friends crashed, randoms crashed in the middle of a DMZ run and instead of giving you the option to reconnect like in most survival games, you get sent to the main menu and lose all your gear.”

The problem is made even worse because your items become permanently lost when it happens. “To put a cherry on top, your items don’t drop in the game either so your squad mates can’t bring your guns back in the next run even if they wanted,” the same player goes on to note.
They then go on to list different titles that already have the basic option of letting you reconnect to an ongoing match. A commenter under the same post also mentions not being able to use the Insured slot for two hours due to the game counting the crash as a death.
The community is becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of basic features and multiple glitches present in MW2 and Warzone 2 DMZ. Hopefully, Infinity Ward and Raven Software find a way to introduce this mechanic to these game modes soon to appease the restless player base.
