War Hospital, a medical sim set during the First World War, is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in early 2023.
In it, you will deal with a range of patients. Some of whom will have physical injuries sustained from fighting, others will have trauma.
Publisher Nacon has released a commented gameplay trailer for the game. Check it out below:
The description reads:
“In War Hospital you play as Major Henry Wells, the head doctor of a military field hospital during the Great War. Daily life is all about resource management and difficult moral choices, so your ability to make the right decision under pressure will be put to the test.”
This is the second World War I game of late. Yesterday, we got a release date and a gameplay trailer for Ad Infinitum, which is more of a horror experience. Considering the horrors of the First World War, it seems odd that we haven’t had many actual horror games set there.
We have the upcoming Gerda: A Flame in Winter, which is from developer Don’t Nod. And the last game to be set there was 11-11: Memories Retold, from developer DigixArt. That game was the result of a collaboration with Aardman Animations, and it had a painterly aesthetic.
