Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong has slipped from its intended February release into May, publisher Nacon has announced.

The company released a statement to fans on the delay alongside developers Big Bad Wolf Studio and Cyanide Studio. “Our focus is on crafting a world that draws you in, that requires you to make difficult decisions and live with the consequences. Swansong features lots of characters, choices, dialogues and opportunities to decide how the story plays and our ultimate focus is on quality. With this in mind, we’ve made the difficult decision to delay the launch of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong from February 2022 to May 2022.”

The statement continued. “This wasn’t a decision we took lightly, but one necessary to ensure the highest possible quality while retaining a healthy work-life balance for our team. Granted, the pandemic also threw a couple of wrenches into our planning, but this delay will allow us to apply some additional polish and give us some extra time for QA.”

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong was first announced back in 2019 and will see you play as three different vampires. Each of these characters is from a different clan, but all belong to the vampiric secret society, the Camarilla. You’ll unravel a conspiracy threatening to reveal the very existence of Vampires to the wider world, breaking the all-important Masquerade.

All being well, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will now arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 19, 2022.
