While showing off skins you either bought or earned has been, at times, a good way of showing off your commitment to any one game, some Valorant players are getting sick of other players constantly badgering them to drop their weapons. As a result of this, some Valorant players are now asking Riot to add a “hide my skins from others” option to the game on social media.

Taking to the Valorant Reddit one player noted their frustration at constantly getting chased down by other teammates to get their weapon. They said, “So many times do people follow me around just for my skins. People just want the championship Vandal. Not peaking and running straight for a skin. Body blocking me until I drop it.” They continued, “It’s getting to a point where it makes it harder for me to play, but if I could disable my skins from others things would go much better. I don’t think it’s in Riot’s best interest to leave things like that since it doesn’t make me wanna buy anything fancy.”

Other players have also been getting fed up with this growing trend in Valorant matches, with another player saying that they typically drop weapons for other players if they ask but they can’t stand when teammates feel a sense of entitlement to a skin and proceed to be rude when they aren’t given it. They said, “Like you wanna trash talk me and then later ask for my skin? Nah.”

While this might be a nice addition to the game for some players, others are a little sceptical as to whether Riot would even consider adding this feature, as one user noted that skins being visible in-game is practically a “walking advertisement for Riot.” Whether a feature like this will make its way to Valorant in a future update is anyone’s guess at the moment but if it was added it may help with some players’ woes.
