Sony has revealed the first screenshots and footage of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and confirmed that a playable demo will be available to download from PlayStation Store later this summer.
The footage offers the first look at Uncharted 2 running at 1080p/60fps on PS4, providing an early glimpse at some of the improvements developer Bluepoint has made to the game’s lighting and textures.

According to Sony, however, not all of the improvements have yet been implemented.
“I played unfinished code that was missing a few minor visual effects, but Bluepoint’s loving influence was readily apparent,” SCEA social media manager Sid Shuman wrote on PlayStation Blog. “The studio is upgrading character models, environment textures, lighting, and special effects across the board, bringing all three games as close to visual modernity as possible while ensuring they remain true to their original creative direction.
“As the studio finalizes work on the collection, it will also roll in the assorted control scheme tweaks, gameplay refinements, and subtle mechanical upgrades that evolved through the series across all three games, bringing them into closer gameplay parity.”
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection features remastered versions of all three previous Uncharted campaigns, but does not include the original games’ multiplayer modes. Picking it up will guarantee access to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s multiplayer beta early next year.
The game ships on PS4 on October 9, with Uncharted 4 due to follow in 2016. Pre-order The Nathan Drake Collection now.
