Urban Games has announced Transport Fever, a new tycoon sim that sees players constructing roads, railway lines, harbours and airports to build a bustling inter-city infrastructure.

Heading to PC this autumn, Transport Fever features over 120 different types of trains, aircraft, ships, buses, trams and trucks “that age as time passes”, as well as “historically inspired” campaign missions set across Europe and North America.

You can check out what it looks like in the trailer below.

As well as featuring missions, an Endless Mode will also let players create their dream transport routes using what Urban claims are “arguably the most intuitive and powerful track construction tools ever seen in a game”. Mods are also supported via Steam Workshop.

“All of this adds up to make Transport Fever the next generation of transport simulation games,” says the developer, “and helps it to represent the next step forward in the genre that the beloved Transport Tycoon series breathed life into so many years ago.”
