The preview which can be viewed over on IGN, reveals that the PlayStation 3 version will lack the online play that will be found in the Xbox 360 version. The reason being that Neversoft, the game’s developer, only received PS3 beta kits three weeks ago.

The Xbox 360 version will fully support Xbox Live and features classic two-player challenges, a new game called Walls, and eight-player online games.

There’s also a doubt over whether the game will make the PlayStation 3’s North American launch on November 17, with Neversoft still waiting on final software libraries to be delivered to them. To make up for the lack of online play Neversoft General Manager Scott Pease has said the PlayStation 3 version will include a bunch of exclusive stuff, although didn’t say what this would be.

Tony Hawk’s Project 8 is expected to ship in Europe for Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PSP around November time. The PlayStation 3 version will likely be a launch title when the console is released here in March 2007.
