Ubisoft has announced a delay for the upcoming The Settlers reboot, originally set to launch later this month.

A tweet from the game’s official account broke the news to fans in a statement. “The recent Closed Beta was a great opportunity for all participating players to share valuable feedback regarding the current state of the game, and we’d like to thank you for your involvement. As we went through this feedback, it became clear to our team that the quality wasn’t yet in line with the team’s vision. Therefore, we took the decision to postpone the launch of the game to a later date.”

Ubisoft didn’t disclose a new release window for the game. “The additional time will be used to further improve the game and push quality as our main priority for all our players”. The team closed by promising to keep fans updated with more details “in due time”.

The Settlers reboot is based on the third and fourth The Settlers games which released in 1999 and 2001, respectively. The game is currently in development for the PC. If we hear of a new release window for The Settlers reboot, we’ll try and keep you in the loop. Until then, players will have to wait a little while longer.
