Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will arrive on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack service in February.

The 2000 classic will be the latest addition to the service’s growing collection of N64 games. It’s the sixth The Legend of Zelda game and was the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. If you’re not familiar, the game sees Link travel to Termina, rather than the traditional setting of Hyrule. However, this new location presents a whole new danger, as the moon’s gonna crash into the planet in three days.

Thus begins a time-looping tale for our Link, as he attempts to stop this apocalypse. Once more he’ll meet plenty of quirky characters, venture through dangerous dungeons and all the TLOZ goodness that entails. The game also introduces an excellent Mask mechanic which sees Link able to gain different abilities depending on the mask he’s wearing. The adventure got an enhanced remake for the Nintendo 3DS in 2015, read our review of that over here.

Earlier this week, the service got classic Rare platformer Banjo-Kazooie which itself followed Paper Mario back in December. More N64 games are still to come to the catalogue as well over the next few months. There’s no specific date just yet, but expect The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack at some point this February.
