Publisher SNK Global has finally confirmed launch platforms for its upcoming beat-em-up, The King of Fighters XV.
As per the tweet from the publisher’s official account, the game will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and through the Windows Store when it launches in 2022.
Though the latest entry in the series has spent much of 2021 announcing its many characters in the roster, confirmation for which formats it’d launch on has been notably absent even in its formal re-reveal in January. The previous game, The King of Fighters XIV was a PlayStation 4 exclusive when it launched back in 2016.
The King of Fighters XV was originally scheduled to launch this year, but announced it was being delayed into 2022 last month. SNK Studio blamed the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic for the delay, specifically citing the ever still-rising number of cases in Japan at the time.
