SNK Corp has unveiled the latest roster addition to upcoming beat-em-up The King of Fighters XV as Maxima.
The latest scrapper is part man, and part machine and has been a regular character in the series since The King of Fighters ’99: Millennium Battle. As you can imagine, his metal suit gives him superhuman strength and makes him one of the hardest hitters in the game.
Here’s his blurb. “Maxima is a cyborg remodelled by NESTS. With 80% of his body comprised of machinery, he is equipped with weaponry everywhere. His fighting ability is far beyond that of any human. As a loyal intellectual full of heart, he also understands K’ well.”
The combatants in The King of Fighters XV belong to three-person teams, and Maxima is no exception. He belongs to the K’ (pronounced “K-dash”) team alongside the man who gives the team it’s moniker. A genetically modified human, K’ can manipulate fire with his special glove. Finally, Whip is a soldier wielding a paranormal whip (of course) and appears to bear a resemblance to K’s older sister.
